We have all been there. Our to-do list never seems to end and we see the same tasks over and over that never get done. It’s so frustrating! What’s important to keep in mind here is that most of our energy should be focused on achieving our highest level tasks – those that are in alignment with our priorities and those that move us closer to our goals. Here’s an easy system I use to get my to-do list in shape fast!

1. Separate important vs. not-important

2. Assign important tasks a due date using the following guidelines:

a) Must do today

b) Must do within a week

c) Must do within 30 days

3. Assign each task a time frame

4. Schedule tasks to complete on your calendar at a specific day and time

And that’s it! Applying these simple steps allows you to plan a realistic schedule while getting your most important tasks done consistently.

Tip: When assigning a time frame for tasks, it’s a good idea to allow at least 50% more time than you think you’ll need.
