Most everyone I know has told me that they are overwhelmed with too much to do. Everyone has their own challenges, so the reasons are varied and there is no “one size fits all” solution. However, I do know that much of the problem has to do with the daily habits we practice. Therefore, if we put effort toward forming more productive work habits, we can make reducing overwhelm possible.

Three Most Important Tasks

One daily habit that I recommend is to schedule at least your three most important tasks each day. Even if you keep a to-do list, scheduling tasks at a specific time on your calendar increases your chances of completing them. Also, working on just a few tasks at a time will help you focus on what’s in front of you, instead of what’s not getting done.

Remember to allow yourself plenty of time for each task (they usually take longer than you think to complete).
